Things that come into your head
Personal Work / Wordplay / Image

The project_
Some work and some don’t. The engagement is the reward.
The brief_
Self-set projects. Thoughts that turn up and need to be tried. They may never become commercial work, but they are an important way of keeping mentally sharp.
The observation_
Can you realise a thought? Make something come of it? The starting point might be a word, two days of stylus movements, or a printout from an eye test. Sometimes the ordinary material is already interesting. You need to notice it.
The application_
These experiments include Morse Code written in Morse code, a play on FedEx, stylus tracking recorded with iOgraph, a graphic drawn from a peripheral eye test and a portrait of designer Sean Freeman made from flies. I used to call him the “super fly guy”.
